Website Assessment

Who Needs
Web Site Assessments
Website assessments
are ideal for:
- Web sites that attract California
customers
- Businesses concerned about compliance
- Emerging and fast growing firms
- Organizations in the financial and
health care industries
Work Plan
Altius IT’s web site assessment services
employ several methodologies including:
- An external review of the web site(s)
- Conversations with the web site design
team
- A review of procedures related to web
site modifications
- Other asset protection measures
Altius IT reviews the web site infrastructure
including domain name, registrar, and web site
host. In addition, our services include a review
customer interfaces such as:
- Navigation buttons, invalid links
- Look and feel of the site, images, etc.
- Contact information
- Marketing including Meta tags, keywords,
etc.
We review and examine your site for legal
issues such as regulatory compliance, copyright
concerns, and trademark issues. Altius IT
also offers web
application and database vulnerability
assessments for websites that interface with
database systems.
Compliance
Not only is a web site the first contact with
a prospect, it reflects on your organization’s
image and reputation. In addition to interfacing
with customers, web sites play an important role
in compliance.
For many firms, the corporate web site is a cost
effective means of disseminating information and
generating new business. If your organization’s
web site is down or otherwise unavailable, the
resulting disruption could have a material
impact on your organization's business.
California On-line Privacy Protection Act
The California Online Privacy Protection Act
requires a privacy policy be "conspicuously"
posted on web sites that collect personally
identifiable information. In addition to
requiring a privacy policy, it also requires you
to adhere to the statements made in your policy.
Altius IT reviews your site to see if it meets
the requirements of the California On-line
Privacy Protection Act.
